The interactions with others may very well be a reflection of one’s inner self in life. “Heart swap” carries a meaning. It’s a desire–I want to have your qualities, but I don’t have them. So can I swap with you? People envy others with certain qualities, like in The Prince and the Pauper, where the two switch lives and identities with each other. The “heart” is the source and the essence of life. I envy what other people have, those psychological traits or personality traits that I do not possess. The Heart Swap Club is, in a sense, a platform for connecting with others in a fun way. It’s a place where people can have a “heart to heart”.

Born in Taipei, Gumbo began her career in medicine at the age of 19 when she joined the gynecological surgery team at Taipei Veterans General Hospital as a nursing professional. Though working in a medical setting, her strong interest and desire for art led her to pursue art studies in her spare time. Then at the age of 30, she entered the art scene. Despite being a newcomer, she quickly became a finalist in the Taipei Annual Arts Competition for three consecutive years. At the age of 34, she participated in the Taipei Biennale as an up-and-coming contemporary creator.

  1. After connecting your wallet, you will be able to see the heart inside the blind box. If you’d like, you can do a Heart Swap.
  2. If you don’t get the heart you want, you can immediately Heart Swap again. The Heart Swap results will be announced at 22:00 (GMT+8) everyday.
  3. Failure to complete the Heart Swap within the abovementioned period is deemed to have given up the rewards.

Special Edition Golden Heart:

1. How do I buy a blind box?

  • Each NFT blind box is priced at TWD 9,999 / additional gas fee for cryptocurrency transactions applies (the fee is based on the minting price at the time)
  • Before purchasing, please first choose to pay in TWD or cryptocurrency
  • To purchase with cryptocurrency, make sure you have sufficient balance in your Qubic/Metamask wallet
  • Make sure your Qubic/Metamask wallet is connected before you are directed to the purchase page
  • The minting price is based on TWD: Whether you buy in TWD or cryptocurrency, the payment amount will include the minting price based on the exchange rate at that time

2. What blockchain is the NFT on?

The NFTs issued by Eslite Gallery X Artist GUMBO in the Heart Swap Club is minted on the Ethereum chain.

3. How do I Heart Swap?

  • After the Heart Swap is open at 19:00 (GMT+8) on August 22, 2022, you can visit the Heart Swap Club homepage, connect your wallet and follow the instructions to start the Heart Swap.
  • The system will automatically gather all the heart(s) in your blind box(es), and you will be able to see what’s inside the blind box(es) in advance.
  • Select the heart you want to swap, tap on “Sign up for Heart Swap” to enter the “Heart Swap Waiting Room” to wait for the system to do the matchmaking.
  • The Heart Swap results will be announced at 22:00 (GMT+8) every day from August 22 to September 24, 2022. If you are not pleased with the heart you have, you can sign up for a Heart Swap again.

4. When can I use the discount for Eslite Gallery’s exhibited works?

  • From August 23 to December 31, 2022. You can visit the Eslite Gallery during opening hours to make purchases, no appointment required.
  • Log in to your Qubic Pass/MetaMask wallet and ask the staff to verify your wallet ID to enjoy the discount.
  • Eslite Gallery opening hours: Tuesday to Saturday 11:00am ~ 7:00pm (closed on Sunday and Monday)

5. COLLECTOR RIGHTS

When you collect a digital artwork in Eslite Gallery’s Heart Swap Club, please note the following:

  1. Eslite Gallery uses the Ethereum public blockchain as the platform, and all transactions and ownership certificates are recorded on the Ethereum blockchain to ensure the authenticity of the Work.
  2. Collectors have the right to publicly display the Work for private, non-commercial purposes.
  3. Collectors may grant others the right to display the Work for non-commercial purposes.
  4. Collectors may download the Work, but may not modify, reproduce, or distribute the Work, nor sell copies of the Work, and have no right to make derivative works and merchandise from the Work.
  5. Collectors have the right to transfer or resell the Work to another collector at any time.
  6. Collectors do not have any intellectual property rights and copyrights in relation to the use of the digital artworks in the Heart Swap Club.
  7. Collectors agree that rules and interpretations of the transactions on this website shall be governed by the laws of Taiwan (R.O.C.).
